The Montreal Heart Institute Foundation raises $55,000 during the Soirée des Cœurs Universels

The 6th annual Soirée des Cœurs Universels was held on Friday, September 28, 2007, at Montreal's Auberge Universel, raising $55,000 for the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF).

Some 350 guests basked in the great music of the Enzo Matera band during this dinner and dance event emceed by Salvatore Migliara. The evening also served as an opportunity to honour heart-transplant recipient, father of five and renowned mountain climber Sylvain Bédard, for his amazing courage and determination.

The resounding success of this year's event was no doubt due to its Honorary President, Jacques Baril, President, Council of Representatives, Caisses populaires Desjardins de la region Est de Montréal, and to the tremendous dedication of its organizing committee, made up of Ron Deschênes (Founder, Autobus Idéal), Vittorio Di Vito (Co-owner, Days hotel and Conference Centre Montréal), Paul Durocher (Co-owner, Auberge Universel), Gerry Guy (Administrator), Salvatore Migliara (President, Résidence au Fil de l'eau) and Léa Salvatore (President, La coupe de la paix cycliste). We wish to thank them for their outstanding generosity.

We would also like to thank Varaplaya Tours, Cubana and Sol Melia Cuba for donating an all-inclusive trip to Varadero.
