The some 350 guests in attendance were treated to a delightful dinner and enjoyable performances. Emcee Salvatore Migliara hosted the evening with great flair, accompanied by the Enzo Matera band. The soiree was kicked off by Rebecca Jean-Gilles, a young Quebec singer from the Antilles who has been performing at the event free of charge for the past three years. Also, the evening's key moments were immortalized with beautiful snapshots, compliments of photographer Laurent Cayla.

The Soirée's founder, the late Adrien-Perron, would certainly have been pleased with the awarding of a recognition plaque to a person treated at the Institute in the past year who has shown great courage and determination. This year, the plaque was given to Chantale Robidoux, an active woman, a mother and a heart transplant recipient.

The resounding success of this year's event was no doubt due to its Honorary President, Jacques Baril (President, council of representatives - caisses populaires Desjardins de l'Est de Montréal) and to the dedication of its top-rate organizing committee made up of Ron Deschênes (Founder, Autobus Idéal), Vittorio Di Vito (Co-owner, Auberge Universel), Paul Durochel (Co-owner, Auberge Universel), Gerry Guy (Administrator), Salvatore Migliara (President, Résidences au Fil de l'eau), Alessandro Pacetti (administrator) and Léa Salvatore (Administrator).
