The Martial G. Bourassa Grant awarded to Dr. Paul Khairy

The official award ceremony of the Martial G. Bourassa Grant was held on September 28, 2006, in the Jean-Parisien auditorium of the Montreal Heart Institute. The $25,000 grant recognizes the excellence of young Montreal Heart Institute researchers and helps them pursue their research.
Dr. Paul Khairy is this year’s recipient of the Grant. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and has recently completed his research training in pediatric electrophysiology and adult congenital heart disease at Harvard University in Boston. Holder of a Canada Research Chair, he has also authored over forty articles in some of the most reputable scientific journals such as Circulation, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Annals of Internal Medicine and several other journals specializing in electrophysiology.
