 | Dr. Paul-David Society breakfast conference
Monday, October 16, 2006
On October 16, 2006, 40 donors attended the Dr. Paul-David Society breakfast conference. This annual get-together is organized by the Foundation to acknowledge donors for their show of generosity throughout the year.
To kick off the activity, the MHI's General
Director, Robert Busilacchi, spoke about the future projects of
the Institute and its importance on both the national and
international scenes.
Hemodynamics cardiologist Dr. Réda Ibrahim
proceeded to captivate the audience with a presentation on the
case of Maryjane Yale, an 11-year-old patient suffering from a
complete blockage of a major coronary artery. To unblock it, Dr.
Ibrahim used a technology still under study called the Crosser.
This world first in pediatric cardiology was a success for both
Maryjane and the MHI team.
The conference wrapped up with a presentation by MHI
dietician Geneviève Daigneault on nutrition tips and the
secrets of eating well before, during and after physical
activity.
Thank you to the members of the Dr. Paul-David
Society. We look forward to seeing you next year!
