Warwick Lions Club benefit
The 16 ^th annual benefit organized by the Warwick Lions Club was held on April, 2006. The event raised almost $9,500 for the MHI Foundation. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Claude Grondin for hosting a conference on the evolution of cardiology and to Doris Hébert who gave so much of her time to organize this wonderful evening.

11 ^th Benevolent Golf Omnium
Founded by André Cyr, the Benevolent Golf Omnium has been raising money for the MHI Foundation for 11 years. To mark this impressive milestone, a ball was held on February at Buffet Riviera. At this occasion, $6,000 turned over. This, on top of the $58,000 raised in last summer's annual golf tournament!

10 ^th anniversary of the Benevolent Golf Omnium
Founded by André Cyr, the Benevolent Golf Omnium has been raising money for the MHI Foundation for 10 years. To mark this impressive milestone, a ball was held on February 12 at Buffet Riviera under the honorary presidency of René Marineau.

The foundation couldn't have been more appreciative when Robert Cloutier, President of the organizing committee, and Francine Gélinas, Treasurer, turned over a $10,00 cheque from the proceeds from the event. This, on top of the $65,000 raised in last summer's annual golf tournament! Now that's loyalty!

Events organized in 2004 to raise funds for the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation

November 2004
The Gala des Chefs Metro Inc.
The Gala des Chefs Métro, one of the largest gastronomic events in Montreal, turned over part of its proceeds to the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation. Under the honorary chairmanship of Pierre H. Lessard, President and CEO of METRO INC., some of the province's most talented chefs and pastry makers teamed up to create a highly refined affair.

The fundraiser was held on November 13, 2004, at the Marché Bonsecours.

June 2004
Nexxlink Inc. lobster fest
Bernard Baribeau of Nexxlink inc. in Lachine came up with the idea of organizing a lobster fest and turning the profits over to the MHI Foundation. The event was held on June 15, 2004, at the Brasserie chez Magnan, and raised more than $2,800 for the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation. We thank all participants for their generosity.

Golden Wedding Anniversary Benefit
To celebrate their 50th wedding anniversaries, Mr. & Mrs. Barone and Mr. & Mrs. Argento came up with the great idea of inviting their guests to donate the money they would have spent on gifts to the MHI Foundation. It was a gesture filled with symbolism. After all, the MHI's 50th anniversary is much like a golden wedding anniversary: 50 years of devotion and 50 years of passion, but also 50 years of excellence that didn't come easy. But thanks to countless generous donors, the MHI has been able to dispense the best heart care in Quebec for the past half-century!

For 14 years now, the Warwick Lions Club has been organizing a benefit dinner, the proceeds of which are turned over to the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation. This year was no exception! The event was held in April and generated nearly $9,000 for the Foundation. Our thanks go out to all participants.

The Love is in the Air event
The eagerly anticipated Love is in the Air event benefiting the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation was held on Saturday, March 13, 2004, at the Costa del Mare restaurant (5605 Amos Street, Montreal-Nord).

DJs Tony & Mic hosted a highly colourful evening. Tickets sold for $80 and included a cocktail reception, a five-course gourmet meal, an open bar and many door prizes.
